I have recently found myself in the position of having to single-handedly arrange my first funeral; that of my dad, who I lost unexpectedly. Due to relatively recent changes to the processes with the coroner service, we had to have dad collected within 24 hours and so chose a local firm to him, where he stayed until the coroner collected him.
