Village Green Tea Room Rivington

I ordered a cheese and tuna mayo baguette. I was served a broken up baguette that looks like a dog had chewed it with no butter not mayo or cheese just tuna on a dry baguette. I had to add the mayo and cheese myself after paying £6 for the nasty thing. Cheesy chips were digusting. And my wife’s cheese and ham toastie looked like a tractor has done a 3 point turn on it. Avoid this awful cafe.

Visited 05/05/2025, visible from road at side facing the building, however if you approach from of parish building entrance you cannot see until you walk around to the back of the building (left path is best) luckily we saw some people and asked as the sign at the front says to go around side but your but sure as it looks like just a closed church type building with cemetery at front. Once around the side to the tea room there is plenty of outdoor seating was available, we went inside saw a lady at till and she said recommend grab a table first and then come to order and luckily table 9 near

Me and my family have been here many times and we absolutely love it! Staff are always extremely welcoming and friendly, the food is always cooked to perfection. It’s always busy which is a good sign but have never had to wait for a table or for a long period of time for the food. Recommend this beautiful tea room to everyone

We came here yesterday morning around 10:45am after a lovely wet walk through Rivington with a few of us wanting a breakfast and coffee, to open the door and be greeted by “no room inside, you have to sit outside” was really not what we was expecting and some other sarcastic comments made by the lady who worked there. A polite “sorry we have Christmas lunches on, I can grab you menus, something to wipe the tables with and help you put the brollies up” would of been far nicer or even just a sign at the bottom of the road saying “we are full” so then it would save the numerous people walking in
